These resolutions were sent with an accompanying memo from the San Francisco Council to President Theodore Roosevelt. This document is a copy of a resolution denoting William Taft's claim of a prejudicial nature inherent in the Chinese Exclusion Act. The Council requested that the Act continue to be maintained. This document was digitized by teachers in our Primarily Teaching 2015 Summer Workshop in Washington, D.C.
