Description

This is a 1944 sketch of Distinguished Service Cross recipient Virginia Hall. In 1944, Hall was undercover in German-occupied France, sometimes going by the field name Diane Heckler. She worked to arm and train members of the French Resistance and was well-known to the Gestapo for her work against them
