Description
This citation accompanied the award of the Distinguished Service Cross to Virginia Hall. Hall was a civilian who worked for the Office of Strategic Services in France from March to September 1944. Despite Gestapo efforts to arrest her, Hall organized, armed, and trained three battalions of French Resistance Forces.
