Description

This activity is meant to encourage students to use various skills to compare and contrast the Emancipation Proclamation and Lincoln’s recommendation for gradual emancipation. Students will need to carefully read the text, then answer a series of question meant to help them fin similarities and differences between the two sources. Lastly, students should write a paragraph or two of a cohesive explanation of these similarities and differences.
