Description
Students will be analyzing an aerial picture of Levittown.
This aerial photograph of Levittown, New York (c. 1951) represents a revolutionary moment in American history: the birth of the modern suburb. Following the end of World War II, the United States faced a massive housing shortage as millions of veterans returned home to start families. The solution was a radical shift in how we built, bought, and lived in our homes.
