Suggested Teaching Instructions
First have a photo and a primary source to show your students . The have your students read and analyze the photo individually. After everyone is down showcase the discussion topics on the board in the front of your classroom where students can gather their attention too. After displaying the topics, students work on answering them individually so they can get the ball rolling on the topic of the Boston massacre. After they have answered the questions pair students up and have them share answers over the discussion topic. Then together as a class come up with the best answer for the discussion topics. These discussion topics should help your students get the bigger picture about the Boston massacre.

Description
The students will first analyze this photo and read the following description that is added with it. Then the students will write down answers to the discussion questions that are on the board in the front of the classroom. They will take time individually and then get into pairs and share what they wrote with each other. After paring up and discussing answers as a class we will write down the answers to the discussion questions over the photo of the Boston massacre. Then it will conclude in a summary of why this is important to analyze and how it helped us overall with understanding the Boston massacre .
