The original caption for this photograph reads: Vietnamese tanks rumble down highway #1 through the village of Dinh Phat Cuong in support of Vietnamese Marines during a recent political upheaval. The unit consisting of three tanks and about 150 infantrymen, ran into heavy fire from insurrectionists in the village of Than Hoe An while going to the aid of loyal Vietnamese Army units. The demonstrating group consisted of rebel soldiers, Buddhists and students were armed with machine guns, carbines and grenades.
