This photograph shows a Veterans Day ceremony at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., where Secretary Dirk Kempthorne delivered the opening remarks, and joined participating dignitaries, including the former Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Colin Powell, along with Nebraska Senator Chuck Hagel, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund Founder and President Jan Scruggs, Vietnam Women's Memorial Foundation Founder and President Diane Carlson Evans, Mary "Edie" Meeks of the Vietnam Women's Memorial Foundation, William Hansen of Lockheed Martin, and William Murdy of Comfort Systems. The ceremony was co-hosted by the Memorial Fund and the National Park Service to highlight the 25th anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
