In this report Agent F. A. K. Butterfield provided information about Bolshevism, including Bolshevik leaders and politicians in the Minneapolis, Minnesota, region. This report comes from a file on "
Bolshevik Agitation" from the War Department Plant Protection Section, reflecting their concern with ensuring that manufacturing plants connected to war production in the homefront during World War I stayed in business. Labor activists and agitators believed to be affiliated with communist or socialist causes came under close scrutiny.
