The passengers on board this Pan Am flight to San Francisco International Airport were some of the 10,300 South Vietnamese children that were evacuated from Vietnam during Operation Babylift following the Fall of Saigon. While this group of children descended into the Bay Area, the mass evacuation saw children headed to a variety of destinations including Canada, France, and Australia.
