The Assistant U.S. Attorney wrote a letter to the Attorney General regarding William Dietrich and the possibility of parole. This letter comes from a series of case files of enemy aliens detained during the First World War under the President's Proclamation of April 6, 1917. This document was digitized by teachers in our Primarily Teaching 2015 Summer Workshop in Chicago.
