Dennis E. Alward and Charles E. Pierce, secretaries of the joint convention, sent this telegram on behalf of the Michigan Senate and House of Representatives. It includes a resolution adopted in joint convention of the Michigan Legislature requesting that the United States Senate pass the Women Suffrage Amendment (the 19th Amendment) to give states the opportunity to ratify it.
