Russian-born pianist, conductor, and composer Igor Stravinsky is considered one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. He immigrated to the United States by train from Mexico on August 8, 1940, and filed this declaration of intention to become an American citizen on March 19, 1941. While a resident of Hollywood, California, he often conducted at the Hollywood Bowl.
