The Abraham Lincoln Statue by George Edwin Bissell was erected in Clermont, Iowa in 1902.
Standing slightly larger than lifesize, the statue depicts the 16th President holding the Emancipation Proclamation On the pedestal are four bronze panels depicted Civil War scenes, including the departure of a soldier from home, Farragut with Dewey at Mobile Bay, the Battle of Shiloh, and Lee's surrender to Grant at Appomattox.
