This photograph shows a small sampling of the thousands of wedding rings that the Nazis removed from their victims during the Holocaust to salvage the gold. When U.S. troops liberated Buchenwald concentration camp, they found stashes of rings, watches, precious stones, eyeglasses, and gold fillings.
