The Sower by Lee Lawrie was erected on top of the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln, NE in 1932.
This nineteen foot tall bronze statue weighs 8 1/2 tons and stands atop a 400 foot tower of the Nebraska State Capitol. The statue depicts a figure throwing seeds to represent the important role of agriculture to Nebraska and the nation.
