Description

Original caption: The statue of Germania, with it’s Valkyrian helmet and the initial of William Hohenzollern inscribed on the shield, which stands with eleven other statues on a column in front of the New York Custom House, is to be changed. Secretary of the Treasury, William McAdoo, has ordered that the figures be changed to that of Belgium and the transformation is to take effect as soon as possible.
