The Treaty of Ghent, signed on December 24, 1814, ended the War of 1812, fought between Great Britain and the United States. This image is a copy of the 1914 painting The Signing of the Treaty of Ghent, Christmas Eve, 1814 by Sir Amédée Forestier.
