This item is a photocopy of speech cards used by President George H. W. Bush at the signing ceremony of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on July 26, 1990. In this speech, President Bush specifically mentioned four individuals who helped with the bill: Evan Kemp, Justin Dart, Boyden Gray, and Bill Roper. The main theme of the President’s remarks was the ADA’s expansion of civil rights to Americans with disabilities.

This is President George H. W. Bush’s speaking copy of the remarks he delivered at the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act on July 26, 1990.
