After eliminating Spain from the country, the U.S. now faced domestic independence movements aimed at getting the United States out of the islands.
After the Spanish-American War, the United States found itself in a compromised position, as it had eliminated Spain from the Philippines in the name of the island’s self-determination and independence but now faced domestic independence movements aimed to get the United States out of the islands.
