The National Monument to the Forefathers by Hammatt Billings was unveiled in 1889 in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The monument consists of five allegorical figures representing Faith, Morality, Education, Law, and Liberty. The central figure of Faith is depicted holding a bible in her left and pointing to the sky with her right hand and is set on top of a forty-five foot shaft. The four other allegorical figures are depicted seated.
