Description

The sculpture of President Abraham Lincoln inside the Lincoln memorial is 19 feet tall. It was created by Daniel Chester French.

The inscription above Lincoln’s head reads: “In this temple, as in the hearts of the people for whom he saved the Union, the memory of Abraham Lincoln is enshrined forever.”
