This letter from Eleanor Roosevelt to Lawrence Fuchs, Brandeis University professor and adviser to John F. Kennedy, expresses her lukewarm interest in meeting with then-Senator Kennedy in 1958. Initially not a fan, she changed her mind over time, ultimately writing to a friend during his Presidential campaign, “I think I am not mistaken in feeling that he would make a good President if elected.”
