Description

This video shows President Johnson addressing Congress regarding voting rights legislation just days after the violence that prevented the march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama.

In his speech, Johnson declares: “I want to be the President who helped to end hatred among his fellow man, and who promoted love among the people of all races in all regions and all parties. I want to be the President who helped to end war among the brothers of this earth.”
