This is the instrument with which all Japanese controlled forces in the Philippine Islands surrendered in World War II. It was signed at Camp John Hay, Luzon, Philippine Islands by General Tomoyuki Yamashita, Vice Admiral Denhici Okochi, and Major General Edmond H. Leavey.
