This is an indictment from a Dallas criminal case file for Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, aka Bonnie and Clyde, and four others, resulting from them stealing four Browning automatic rifles and thirteen Colt automatic pistols from the Texas National Guard armory at Ranger, TX, on February 19, 1934. The indictment against the six defendants was filed in May 1934 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division. The arrest warrants were returned to the court on July 16, 1934, with notations “defendant not found in district.”
Thinking that the gang could be hiding in the Abilene area, the Dallas court transferred the case to the Abilene Division. Deputy marshals searched unsuccessfully for them and returned the unserved arrest warrants to the Abilene Division on September 16, 1935. The Barrow Gang was on the run and continued their illicit activities until they met their demise.
