Description

This photograph shows German POWs captured by the Allies during the Normandy Invasion during World War II. It comes from an Army photo album documenting D-Day.

The original caption reads: “These German prisoners ‘bide their time’, while waiting to be transported to England from the coast of France. They walk and talk with an air of indifference about them.”
