Petition from the Men of the Equal Suffrage League of Norfolk

Description

The men of Norfolk County, Virginia, sent this petition to Senator Martin asking him to work and vote for a Federal Suffrage Amendment, so that the “women of the United States may become the political equals of those of Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the Scandanavian Countries.”

This document was digitized by teachers in our Primarily Teaching 2017 summer workshop in Washington, D.C.
