Description

This item is a photograph of sailors on board the deck of the U.S.S. Olympia.

During the battle of Manila Bay in the Spanish American War, the USS Olympia was the Admiral Dewey’s flagship. It also transported the body of the Unknown Soldier from France to the United States after World War I.
