Description

This War Department chart illustrates the siege and defense of Fort Erie, Canada. American forces captured the fort in July 1814, the last year of the War of 1812. The British unsuccessfully laid siege to the captured fort in September 1814. American forces subsequently destroyed the fort and withdrew to the United States.
