Description

This is a case file for Jew Yeung, who wanted to re-enter the United States from China. She had a certificate of residence, but immigration officials tried to determine if the young woman who was trying to enter was the same person pictured in the certificate of residence. Pages 52–57 are shown. It is featured in “The Chinese Exclusion Act: Researching in the National Archives,” available on iBooks.
