These documents are part of a series that consists of reference documents received from American and foreign sources in preparation for prosecution of major war criminals before the International Military Tribunal (IMT) in Nuremberg, Germany.
Included in the series are correspondence, reports, memoranda, booklets, affidavits, handbooks, booklets, photographs, and charts covering economic, military, financial and other subjects. Also included are copies of interrogations and statements of German officials. Documents in this series are mostly reproductions. Some of the records are in German, Italian, French, and Russian. These records were first maintained by the Office of the U.S. Chief of Counsel for the Prosecution of Axis Criminality and then by the Office of the Chief Counsel for War Crimes.
