Introduction

Over the course of this unit, we have discussed the 4 goals of the progressive movements, the reforms that occured , as well as key players in progressive reform. The progressive movement managed to increase the power of the government and regulate businesss and to protect society from the injustices fostered by big business; it sought to "right" all the "wrongs" of the Glided Age. Using notes from this unit and your text, you and a partner will examine primary documents from this era, answering questions throughout. (Use your notes and text)
