This is a photograph of a mother of seven children, and it is entitled "Migrant Mother". While only three children are present in the photograph, the photographer chose to only capture this particular moment. The children's faces are hidden, but why? This moment rekindles the hardships of migrant workers during the Great Depression. While many workers lost their jobs and everything else they valued, rarely did these families have the option to give up. Giving up was admitting failure, and to admit failure would have been the greatest shame of all.
