Through this activity students will be able to apply what they have learned in the classroom in a visual form. The documents presented in this activity will help students to not only connect what they have learned during in-class assignments but it will allow them to connect ideas, writings, and photographs to the actual states and regions in which these events happened. Through context clues, presented on the documents themselves, the students will be allowed the opportunity to challenge the United States geographic knowledge and their historical/documental knowledge and use, thus creating an assignment that can connect two related subjects while still presenting an active and engaging lesson.
