To introduce the lesson I would ask the students, "How many of you know where the country of Vietnam is located?" After studetns answer the question, I would ask for a volunteer to come and locate the country on the map. I would then ask the students, "Can someone tell me how the country plays an important roll in our own county's history?" After the students discussed the reasons i would then begin the lesson about the Vietnam War.
