The case for Boston school desegregation produced many different effects across the city and showed in what ways the promise of equality for all Americans had not yet been fulfilled. In this activity, students will examine a document from the case, Morgan v. Hennigan, and analyze how it impacted a city and the people who lived in its many communities. This activity focuses on the theme of Civil Rights and urban history.
